Started!
Book and Project
I have selected my pattern! I realize most people are probably going to crochet Granny Squares, but I’m thinking I want a thing that I can use. If I have left overs, I will make Granny Squares.
I decided on the Desert Winds Scarf. It is a free pattern from Make & Do Crew. I will use all three colors. Not sure when I will change colors yet. I think I’m going to make the fattest part out of the blue. Then the two sides will somehow be white and pink.
I started reading the book as well. The book I received is The Seaside Sisters. What book did you get?
I’m only 3 chapters in, and it hasn’t grabbed me. Not a big deal as that is not very far. However, one of the characters USED to be a cheerleader. Yikes. I hope I can get past that. lol. I’m expecting the man next door to be smoking hot, so that will help.
StoryGraph is wonderful. I am using it to track my reading. However, I won’t add this book as I don’t want to know anything about it. It’s fairly difficult to refrain from adding it to my Currently Reading list. Weird.
I’ve been reading fantasy for so long that books like this one seem slow. Nobody is being chased or almost killed in the first few pages. I need to get my head into a space for another type of story.
I hope to hit my first color change by tomorrow. So far, I am happy with my pace. How are you doing? I would love to hear about your makes.
Don’t forget Murderbot starts this week! Squee.
Currently, I am reading lots of books. In my Kobo right now is Threadneedle by Cari Thomas; in my ears right now is Day Shift by Charlaine Harris; and in my hands right now is Ordinary Men by Christopher R. Browning.
Also in my hands: The Seaside Sisters by Pamela Kelley.
